Scholarly writing isn’t about heroic bursts of productivity—it’s about showing up, steadily and consistently, until the work gets done. Momentum Builder is a 6-week program designed specifically for grad students and postdocs who want to move their journal article or thesis forward by developing sustainable writing habits.
Through this program, you will:
Establish a structured writing routine that supports your academic goals.
Apply strategies to reduce procrastination and perfectionism.
Gain accountability and encouragement from a supportive group.
Build lasting habits that keep your research writing on track.
Program Structure (all virtual)
Weekly group coaching & guidance (Fridays 10-11:30 Mountain Time): Practical strategies, feedback, and encouragement.
Weekly group writing time (Mondays 10-12 Mountain Time): Protected, community-based time to focus on your project.
One 30-minute individual coaching session: Scheduled during the six weeks to support your unique writing needs.
We begin Friday, September 19 at 10 am Mountain Time, and Monday, September 22 at 10 am Mountain Time.
By the end of Momentum Builder, you’ll have pages written and the confidence, consistency, and momentum to carry your project across the finish line.
*Please note, the week of October 13, the writing group will run on Wednesday, October 15 at 10 am, so you can enjoy Thanksgiving with your friends and family.
